Education Qualification:-
A bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is required for any position under HPPSC. The degree can be from any discipline.
There are also some exceptional cases that can be had. Let’s see this exceptional one-by-one
- It is acceptable if a candidate has taken the final semester exam of her bachelor’s year but the results have not yet been released. The candidate is then also qualified to take the HPPSC exam. Candidates should be aware, however, that as soon as their results are available, they must submit a copy of their results as proof of passing the exam. In any case, the submission of a copy of the result should not be delayed for more than two months after the result is announced.
- The second and last exception is for students whose degree also requires them to undergo an internship in the final years. (For example, MBBS or MBA degree). These students are also eligible if they had not completed their internship period at the time of the examination, but they must submit a copy of their degree within two months.
In both of these exceptions, candidates need to submit their original degrees in personal interview rounds.
As Himachal Pradesh is a special status state, the candidate must also be familiar with Himachal Pradesh customs, manners, and dialect in addition to their education.
They should also know the religious language of Himachal Pradesh.
Eligibility Criteria
- The candidate must be an Indian citizen and present a valid certification as proof of citizenship.
- The candidate must fulfill the educational qualifications mentioned above.
Age limit:-
The candidate must be 21 years of age or older and must be older than 35 years of age. This age should be calculated as of January 1st of every year. However, there is an exceptional case for students from the reserved category. Let’s look at what that is.
